No attacks on Irish Muslims

THERE have been no reported attacks directed at the 20,000-strong Muslim community living in Ireland as a result of the London bombings.

Following the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the US in 2001, there were isolated incidents focused on the Islamic mosque on Dublin's South Circular Road.

The four young Britons suspected of planting the bombs that killed more than 50 people last week came from a Muslim background.
