O’Toole awarded honorary Oscar

Veteran actor Peter O’Toole was awarded an honorary Oscar for a career which has spanned more than 40 years.

O’Toole, 70, who was born in Connemara, has been nominated for the best actor Oscar seven times but never won, for films including Lawrence of Arabia, Goodbye Mr Chips and The Lion In Winter.
