Boy band star Damien sings from the heart

DAMIEN BOWE from the boy band D'side had a poignant reason for urging people to carry a donor card his older brother Michael needs a heart transplant.

Yesterday Damien and the rest of the band headlined a free concert in the Phoenix Park in Dublin for more than 4,000 people who helped raise over 250,000 euro for Beaumont Hospital's Cardiology unit.

"Michael had a heart transplant in February last year but he rejected it and is now on the waiting list for another," said Damien.
