Kenny may reshuffle front bench
Mr Kenny chose his party spokespeople shortly after becoming leader in 2002. He surprised many observes by opting for younger and new TDs over more experienced politicians within his party. Since then he has made only one change, sacking John Deasy for smoking in the Dáil bar after the ban had come into place and replacing him with the experienced Jim O’Keeffe.
It is understood the party leader wishes to make extensive changes in September, reflecting his growing authority in the leadership.
