Gardaí said there was no immediate indication that the shooting of the 19-year-old van driver, in the north of the city, was gangland related.

The youth was shot several times, suffering injuries to the head and knee, as he sat in the van at Grangemore Road, Donaghmede, at around 8.20pm on Wednesday. His condition remains serious, but stable. Two passengers in the van were uninjured.
