A LIMERICK-BASED Pakistani doctor has lost most of his family in the earthquake disaster which has stricken his country.

Dr Khurshid Bazmi left for his homeland two days ago on learning that his parents and uncles had been killed and other family members were missing.

Dr Bazmi had only started working at the Mid Western Regional Hospital last July and is attached to the dermatology clinic. He was previously working in the West of Ireland.
