LAWS banning touts from selling tickets at exorbitant prices are to be reviewed by the Government to prevent fans being ripped off.

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern pointed out though that the reason he wanted to build a National Stadium was to increase the capacity at major sporting events.

The Taoiseach said yesterday that the legislation relating to ticket-touting will be re-examined as he admitted there was an issue there - particularly in light of the prices, well above face value, being charged for tickets to the U2 concert and the Ireland-England rugby match.
