Sinéad swaps her Aer Lingus uniform for Garda blue

AFTER years as a high-flying transatlantic air hostess, Sinéad Greene swapped her Aer Lingus uniform for Garda blue and graduated in style at Templemore College yesterday.

Sinéad, one of 149 gardaí who trooped out to take up duty in stations around the country, was awarded the Commissioner’s Medal for achieving the highest academic marks during the course.

A native of Roscom-mon, Sinéad, 25, said: “I worked with Aer Lingus for nearly five years and was a cabin crew member on the Airbus 330 on the transatlantic service. I had responsibility for the comfort and safety of passengers in-flight.”
