YOUNG people are to be consulted directly in the latest Government effort to tackle the problems of drink and drugs and other issues which affect their lives.

Teenagers to be consulted on means of tackling drink and drugs

The Youth Affairs Minister Síle de Valera has sought a report by the end of the year that will encompass the views of teenagers and young adults.

The National Youth Work Advisory Committee (NYWAC) will research issues on youth welfare, to include drugs, alcohol, bullying, and make recommendations on guidelines for people working with young people.
