Mental Health Commission to look abroad for psychiatrists

THE Mental Health Commission will advertise abroad for consultant psychiatrists to sit on mental health review panels, it emerged yesterday.

The Commission will seek to re-advertise for consultant psychiatrists after talks with the main representative body for Irish consultants broke down this week.

The Irish Hospital Consultants Association (IHCA) last year instructed members not to apply for the positions.
