Praising your candidate is normal campaigning practice except that Dr Cowley, is the substitute for another candidate in the field outgoing MEP Dana Rosemary Scallon.

Isn't the well-known independent Mayo deputy going against his own interests campaigning so diligently for Ms Harkin?
