Group to tackle housing waiting list crisis

THERE are more than 10,000 people on Cork City Council’s housing waiting list - a record.

The news emerged as a group was launched to tackle the crisis by lobbying for a change in housing policy.

Cork’s Social Housing Forum chairperson Margaret O’Neill said steps were being taken to cut the numbers.
