THE Coveney farm and family home at Minane Bridge in Cork is being sold, in a record-making deal worth up to €6 million.

It is being bought by a farmer who has sold land near Cork city. The farmer received between €17 million and €20 million for land near Douglas Golf Club.

The sale at Minane Bridge ends the Coveney family’s 21-year link with their prosperous 350-acre farm and family home, although they are keeping another 100-acre holding nearby at Robert’s Cove.
