Contestants battle to the bitter end

THERE was hardly a nail left in tact in last night’s heat of the TCH All Ireland Schools Quiz.

Anxious tension characterised the battle between Abbey CBS and CBS Secondary School Thurles.

In a very exciting contest the lead changed hands several times and the result remained in the balance right up to the very finish.

But at Abbey CBS, Tipperary Town, there was a victory for the host school in the third round session of the quiz.
