Ireland happiest country, says study

THE Irish are happiest with the quality of life in their neighbourhoods, according to a survey — which also showed that Dublin was the best capital to live in.

Ireland was the happiest country in Europe to live in, according to the results of a survey of 112 urban and rural areas published yesterday at the European Healthy Ageing Summit in London.

The Pfizer Healthy Neighbourhood Survey asked 11,200 people in nine European countries to rate the importance of 25 factors relating to environment, safety, local amenities, community support and health services.
