THE GOVERNMENT would be foolish to allow Social Partnership collapse as it would have a negative impact on the entire economy, Enterprise Minister Micheal Martin warned yesterday.

Speaking as he announced a green card system aimed at specific skills shortages yesterday, Mr Martin said Partnership was crucial to maintaining industrial relations stability and had also brought with it many social advances.

“A lot of things have happened because of Social Partnership and I think we would be very foolish to throw it out so we want to make Social Partnership happen,” he said.
