‘Robert, It’s Mam. Give me a buzz’

WAYNE O’DONOGHUE called to Robert Holohan’s house hours after killing him and rang the boy’s mobile phone in front of the 11-year-old’s mother.

Robert’s mother Majella told the Central Criminal Court in Cork yesterday that the accused said to her: “Don’t worry. You will find him alright. I’ll try him on my mobile.”

She said O’Donoghue then rang her son’s number, put the phone up to his ear and said there was no answer.
