THE next two months will see some of the most important negotiations in the history of the Northern Ireland peace process, Sinn Féin said yesterday

Speaking after talks with British Prime Minister Tony Blair at Downing Street, Gerry Adams called on the British Government to produce a plan for the implementation of outstanding parts of the Good Friday Agreement, which he indicated could create the context for movement from republican groups.

This week’s round of discussions was “not the end, but the beginning” of a series of talks to revive the peace process after the suspension of the province’s power-sharing institutions, said Sinn Féin’s chief negotiator Martin McGuinness.
