'I'm looking for some sort of closure'

JOHN HENDRICK shot his former girlfriend and then killed himself in a double tragedy that has scarred many lives.

That was 19 months ago and there has still been no inquest into the 20-year-old’s death. The lack of closure hangs heavily on his mother’s shoulders.

“Everything is ready to go ahead, yet there’s no date,” Breda Hendrick said this week. “I am looking for some sort of closure. I have five more children and there’s not a day goes by that one of them does not feel broken-hearted.”
