Government progress report ‘propaganda’

THE Government yesterday claimed it had achieved, or was well on its way to achieving, over three quarters of the objectives of the programme for government three years ago.

The claim was derided by the opposition, which described the Government’s progress report as propaganda and empty self-praise.

The report says that since 2002, some 76% of its 477 specific pledges have been achieved or “significant progress has been made”.
