BOSSES at rogue security firms could face three months in prison or fines of several thousand euro if they fail to meet new standards, it emerged yesterday.

Under draft proposals bouncers and door staff at pubs and clubs will be forced to meet improved standards as part of a crackdown on cowboy operators.

Company chiefs who resist the changes and employ staff with criminal records or inadequate training could be fined €2,000 or face several months in jail.
