THE director of Shannon Airport fears a new EU aviation deal will cut services at Shannon and Dublin airports.

Martin Moroney warned that an open skies deal between Ireland and America could put employment throughout the West of Ireland in danger.

“There will have to be a cautious approach to this because any reduction of services in Shannon could affect both current and future employment from Cork to Donegal,” he said.
