PDs pledge tax cuts in election plan

COUPLES with joint incomes of €100,000 or less will pay tax at the standard rate of 20% under tax-cutting proposals unveiled by the Progressive Democrats yesterday.

The party’s tax document also promises to take all couples with combined incomes of €40,000 out of the tax net completely.

And it aims to cut the top tax rate from 42% to 40%.
