Hanafin in crackdown on untrained teachers

The problems many schools have faced finding suitably qualified teachers have meant that up to 10,000 children were learning from unqualified staff in around 400 classrooms in the last year.

The same number again are thought to have been taught by teachers who are only qualified to work at second level.
