Council suspends double job employee

A COUNCIL employee has been suspended for a month without pay after drawing up plans for a member of the public.

The Waterford County Council officer was immediately sanctioned when council bosses found he had been double jobbing in contravention of new regulations for local authority officials.

Director of services with the council, Peter Carey, said an investigation was immediately launched.
