Jobs fears for Wexford

MORE than 100 direct jobs and as many as 400 others are expected to be affected by the wind up of some of the south east’s longest-established construction companies.

A receiver is due to be named to R&B O’Connor Construction Ltd, Strandside Construction and South East Sandpit Ltd, all with registered addresses at Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, winding up the businesses.

As many as 100 direct jobs are in jeopardy as a result of the appointment but upwards of 500 jobs in all aspects of the trade in the region could suffer as a result of the move.
