Kingdom’s beaten warriors come home promising better next time
Though clearly stunned after their defeat by Tyrone in Sunday's All-Ireland football final, the Kerry team - who were pre-match favourites - put on a brave face as they returned home to a heart-felt reception.
Team captain Declan O'Sullivan put it cryptically: "We're delighted to be back on Kerry soil.'' An estimated 5,000 fans turned out in Tralee to see the team taken through the town in an open-top bus.
