WITH up to 6,000 drivers penalised for not wearing a seatbelt, the Transport Minister has accused motorists of gambling with their own and their children’s lives.

Figures released yesterday show that 130,000 drivers have penalty points 5% for not wearing a seatbelt.

As many as 1,000 motorists have six points or more and 20 drivers have 10 penalty points on their record two short of automatic disqualification.
