A survey of 34 of 174 children’s homes nationally revealed that 20% in high support and 4% of children in mainstream care are on medication for behavioural difficulties.

One eight-year-old has been on Ritalin for the past three years for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
