Irish kisses cast across the ocean

KISSES across the Irish Sea are being arranged by an artist who is casting the mouths of 2,000 children in Ireland and Wales for two walls of lips.

The 16-foot long walls, to be cast in salvaged aluminium, will be erected later this year in Fishguard in Wales and on the Logloss Estate in Waterford.

“The Irish kisses will be on the Welsh wall and the Welsh ones on the Irish wall. It represents cultural connections between both countries,” said sculptress Sonia Dawn Flewitt, 38.
