ALL workers will be able to demand access to their personnel files from their employers under a groundbreaking law coming into force next July.

Law will allow workers to see personnel files

Employers have denied workers access to their files up to now by keeping them on manual records but the new Data Protection Act 2003 will make that illegal.

This tough new law will also stop the State and private companies securing illegal information about people and any organisation found guilty will face fines of up to 100,000.
