AH, me. There we were in the late '80s and early '90s, ramped up and ready to go in our new power suits with the big shoulders, holding on tight to our university degrees and our dreams of conquering the world.

Behind us stood the parents who had struggled so hard to get us through college (fee-paying in those days) and who were determined to see their daughters make the most of themselves.
