FINE GAEL’S decision to broadcast Enda Kenny’s leader’s address over the internet may have been a first for an Irish political party.

But if the rock-bottom TV ratings are anything to go by, there must have been precious few takers for it.

Hopefully, the poorer picture quality on internet video streaming didn’t pick up images of sweat poring down Mr Kenny’s face as clearly as the TV pictures did.
