Success for Carlow at TCH schools quiz
In the first session, the Knockbeg squad had a very narrow win against the fancied Wesley College team from Dublin, winning by a mere two points.
Borris had a more emphatic win of 12 points over Scoil Chaitríona, Glasnevin, Dublin. St Mary’s College, Knockbeg, Carlow - 108 points; Wesley College, Dublin - 106 points.

In a gripping fourth round contest, Coláiste An Spioraid Naoimh, Bishopstown, advanced to the quarter-final of the quiz at the Imperial Hotel in Cork last night.
At the half-way stage, they were 12 points behind Árd Scoil Phobail, Beanntraí.
They had an excellent finish to bring the scores level, at 114 each after the rounds. On a count back, Coláiste advanced with the most individual correct answers.

Coláiste Choilm, Ballincollig, also advanced to the quarter-final with a solid performance in the first quiz of the evening. They scored 110 points to CBS Dungarvan’s 98 points.
