FORMER Formula One racing star Eddie Irvine is suffering losses of €2.3m over his investment in a popular Dublin pub.

An Employment Appeals Tribunal (EAT) heard yesterday that the retired Northern Ireland driver is now owed €2.3m from the Cocoon bar on Royal Hibernian Way in which he has a 50% shareholding.

Details of Irvine’s finances emerged during a claim for wrongful dismissal being brought by a former friend and business partner of the Grand Prix driver, John Foley.
