The students arrived in London yesterday afternoon and immediately set up their trade stand in the famous hotel. The winner will be announced tomorrow.

The Midleton CBS mini company was selected to represent their county after beating off the challenge from six other regional finalists. The national competition, run by Junior Achievement/Young Enterprise Ireland, featured projects by more than 7,000 students representing 150 school companies.

Richard Ellard, managing director of the company, said: "I learned the importance of team spirit and effective planning, and I feel I have gained a valuable life skill."
