Rabbitte tips FG/Lab win

FINE GAEL and Labour could win enough seats in next year’s election to form a government on their own, Pat Rabbitte said yesterday.

The Labour leader said he was confident both parties could win the required 83 seats without relying on the support of the Greens or independents.

Mr Rabbitte’s bullish prediction flies in the face of recent opinion polls which show that the Mullingar Accord parties will not make up the numbers alone.
