Town to discuss crime situation
Many people in Castleisland are concerned about street violence and public disorder, which has sometimes developed into near riot situations. Garda reinforcements have had to be called on a number of occasions, this year.
A street row involving gangs of youths, last New Year’s Night, has been followed by a series of assaults, fights, vandalism and a stabbing on the Castleisland’s main street, in broad daylight.
