Sexy model gets in gear as she gets close to a Jag at vintage show
The racy red SS100 Jaguar, worth at least €242,000, will be among the 600-plus cars included in the show that takes place on Sunday July 21 next in Terenure College in Dublin.
Only 200 SS100 Jaguars were ever produced and only four of these, one in Ireland and three in Britain, have actually survived intact and in good running order.
This year’s show, one of the largest in the country, is in aid of the Chernobyl Children’s Project, founded by Adi Roche to help child victims of the world’s worst nuclear accident.
Organised by the Irish Jaguar and Daimler Club, it will feature cars from all over Europe, dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. All kinds of cars will be exhibited, including saloons, sports, open top, electric, diesel, gas and petrol driven vehicles.
A number of fun and quirky models will also be on show.
The Jaguar used yesterday to promote the event is owned by Dominick Nolan from Dublin, a computer furniture manufacturer.
He said the car was in bits when he purchased it eight years ago in America for about $45,000.
Dominick currently owns 11 vintage cars that he has lovingly restored over a number of years. All of them were in bad condition and had to be rebuilt.
“I like old things and getting them going again.
“The attraction for me is finding a car that’s not working and putting life back into it,” he said.
Joe Higgins of the Irish Jaguar and Daimler Club said they were acutely aware of how much children loved seeing the old cars. “We want the event to be a family fun day out. As well as the cars, there will be lots of bouncy castles, candy floss and ice cream.”
