Boyzone crooner to naive gangster
Fair play. He's tried the boy-band look with white suit and dodgy hair do. Then he went solo with some tough-guy stubble and a leather jacket.
Then he went soft again to take on the US, but came home when nobody recognised him.
Now, our boy Ronan is becoming a gangster.
The former Boyzone crooner is to begin filming in January on the curiously titled Guns, Money and Home Cooking.
He will play a gangster, opposite Vinnie Jones, the hardman star of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
"It's tongue-in-cheek," Keating told The Daily Record. "Vinnie is in it. Anna Friel is in it. I play a young Irish inexperienced gangster. They came looking for me. I didn't go to a casting or anything. I'm shit scared, because I've never acted before.
"The first couple of days will be hard work and nerve-wracking, but I am willing to give it a go. I've read the script and can't say too much about it.
"I'm a gangster who is out of college, and I'm kind of a rival to Vinnie's character. Future film roles will depend on the outcome of this one.
"I don't know if I can act, but I am willing to give it a go."
