Schools advance in TCH all-Ireland quiz

CORK school St Aloysius and Coláiste Spioraid Naoimh from Bishopstown last night advanced in the TCH All-Ireland Schools Quiz after two highly competitive ties.

Quiz number 98 resulted in a win for Coláiste Spioraid Naoimh with a score of 132 against Loretta Secondary School, Youghal and Coláiste Dhaibhéad, Cork.

The winning team was Darragh Kearns Hayes, Barry Buttimer, Colm O’Regan and Joseph Lynch.

The second quiz, number 99, was a head-to-head between Christian Brothers College, Cork and St Aloysius School, with the St Mary’s of the Aisle team emerging victorious with 130 marks to Christians’ 114.
