Greens condemn ‘post-facist’ FF

GREEN PARTY eader Trevor Sargent has said the Fianna Fáil MEPs belong to a right-wing, post-fascist group in the European Parliament.

Fighting to retain her decade-old Dublin seat, Green MEP Patricia McKenna says the Greens are a thorn in FF’s side in Europe. “FF hate us with a vengeance... because we have been to the forefront in highlighting the lack of environmental compliance by the FF-led Government, and the blatant militarisation of Europe,” she said.

FF’s membership of the Union for Europe of the Nation group in the European Parliament was highlighted by Mr Sargent.
