EVERY household in the country will pay over €10,000 in taxes in 2006 to cover spending in just two of the major Government departments, Fine Gael claimed yesterday.

The party’s deputy leader Richard Bruton produced an analysis of last Thursday’s estimates which showed that the average cost per household for Health spending next year will be €8,650.

And the increased budget of Justice for 2006 will mean that the average cost per household for that Department will rise to €1,495.
