THE Government re-committed itself yesterday to providing more medical cards, extra gardaí and reducing hospital waiting lists over the next three years.

It was responding to criticisms from the opposition that it had failed to deliver on these promises two years into the term of the government.

Arts, Sports and Tourism Minister John O'Donoghue admitted the government has not done enough to reduce hospital waiting lists.
