Road projects get €209m green light

AN extra €209 million will be pumped into the National Roads Programme in 2003. This means that up to seven major projects, which had been deferred, can begin next year.

This will bring the roads investment budget to €1.25 billion for 2003.

Brendan Butler of the employers’ group IBEC welcomed the extra funding.
