NINE out of 10 women who gave birth in hospital felt they had no control over the delivery of their child, research shows.

More than half of new mother did not have the birth experience they expected labour was too rushed and concern was also expressed over the high level of caesarean sections.

The study carried out by RollerCoaster.ie a website for pregnancy and parenting also found 20% of women are not happy with maternity care in Ireland.
