Campaigners to demand answers on radiotherapy
Hundreds of people from the region will meet in Dublin’s Parnell Square at lunchtime on Thursday and then march on the Dáil. They will then present Tánaiste and Minister for Health, Mary Harney, with the 100,000 signatures they have collected, petitioning for a public radiotherapy unit at Waterford Regional Hospital.
“We’ve filled seven buses already and it looks like we will need an eighth,” said campaign chairman Dick Roche. “People are also travelling by car and we would expect others based in Dublin to join with us.
