Daly labels council’s bin figures ‘distorted’

HOUSEHOLDERS in Waterford county are not paying enough for their refuse service, Waterford County Council says.

But the figures on which they make such assumptions are “flawed”, councillors say.

The local authority faces the prospect of a €1.5 million black hole in its finances by the end of the year because of the increasing cost of disposing of waste outside of the county.
