SOCIAL Affairs Minister Seamus Brennan yesterday questioned why 150,000 Irish people remain unemployed while a similar number of immigrants easily found work here this year.

Mr Brennan said he could not understand what was preventing many on the live register from getting work since immigration clearly showed jobs were easily available to those who sought them.

“We have 100,000 people coming from the 10 new member states in the last 12 months and they all got jobs.
