UCC centre to lure pharma giants

A NEW €22 million college building will play a crucial role in attracting global pharmaceutical giants to Munster, Enterprise Minister Micheál Martin said yesterday.

The minister was speaking at the official opening of UCC's striking new Cavanagh Pharmacy Building the only college of pharmacy outside Dublin.

"The building represents a significant advance by UCC that clearly supports the Government's policy to promote university-industry partnerships in pursuit of our national goal to build a globally competitive, knowledge-based economy," he said.
